Two high profile retailers covered here, one of them a Bonkers Bargain selection, have experienced hugely different customer demands over the pandemic. Despite the considerable challenges faced by one, it still looks well placed to recover strongly, while considerable investment and innovation by the other suggests it is adapting well to the changing market.

There is more to UK retail than Boohoo and ASOS, AIM’s two largest companies, although you wouldn’t believe it from the headlines these online stars are attracting, with the former acquiring the Debenhams brand and the latter contemplating the acquisition of the Topshop, Topman and Miss Selfridge brands from the administrators of Arcadia.
