ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Governance. A cynic might say ESG investing is a fad, or worse, a kind of tree-hugging hippie philosophy with no real basis in the real world. But others argue that ESG investing is profitable, that there is a correlation between companies that emphasise ESG and share price performance.
