Thanks in part to Dieselgate, Volkswagen shares could surge

Last year, at a Volkswagen AG conference for the company's top managers, an unexpected guest turned up. At least he was unexpected and a tad unwelcome in the eyes of many present. But for the Volkswagen CEO, Herbert Diess, inviting Elon Musk to make an appearance by video call at an event for 200 VW managers was very much the point.
