New arrivals on AIM May 2015
There were 6 new arrivals on AIM in May, raising a total of £53m, and 9 departures resulting in 1,074 companies on the junior market at the end of May with a total market value of £75.2bn.
The newcomers included the appealingly named Elegant Hotels Group PLC, the owner and operator of hotels on Barbados, which we commented on in our Blog on 26th May. It was sad to see the departure of Accumuli, a stock we have followed for several years, however it looks a good fit with fully listed NCC Group PLC.
Despite the loss of quality stock Accumuli, in general the quality of companies on AIM continues to improve. While the number of companies on AIM fell again from the 1,077 at the end of April, new joiners generally appear to be larger, better funded and well established businesses than might have been the case a few years ago.
