​Despite the distraction of the EU Referendum it was another encouraging month for new issues on AIM with 6 genuine new arrivals and a re-admission. The largest of the new arrivals in terms of market capitalisation was Time Out, whose shares have unfortunately found little favour in the weeks following their debut on AIM, although in fairness markets haven’t been easy! At the end of June 2016 there were 1,013 companies on AIM with the total market value £71.745bn. This compares with 1,016 companies on AIM at the end of May 2016 when the market value was £74.66bn. With the EU referendum causing havoc for UK equities the AIM index fell 4.3% in the month.
