Distil (AIM: DIS) – Blackwoods Small Batch Gin fully approved for sale in the US

​The AIM quoted owner of premium drinks brands including Blavod black vodka, Blackwoods gin and vodka and RedLeg spiced rum saw its shares soar on news that its Blackwoods Small Batch Gin has now been fully approved by the US Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) for sale in the United States, the largest single market for UK produced gin in the world.

Production and shipping of the first cases of Blackwoods Small Batch gin is expected to start in the next few weeks.

In support of this the Group has entered into an exclusive, long term, importation and distribution agreement with The Winebow Group http://www.thewinebowgroup.com/ for both Blackwoods and RedLeg brands covering the USA, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
