Deltex Medical Group PLC (DEMG) – another step towards concurring the US market

Deltex Medical Group plc (AIM: DEMG), the global leader in oesophageal Doppler monitoring (ODM), today announced it has established its ninth US trainer account at a prestigious teaching hospital in Boston. This will provide training to prospective users of the Group’s advanced ODM equipment and software. This agreement also includes the procurement of at least 500 probes for inclusion in the hospital's 2015/16 budget year starting in October 2015. In the interim the hospital is purchasing probes on an ad hoc basis and has placed three orders of 50 probes each time over the last four months.

ODM concerns the monitoring and management of fluid levels and haemodynamic factors in the body and is used to guide fluid and drug administration as well as monitor stroke volume and cardiac output during surgery and critical care. 

The use of ODM during surgery has the proven potential to deliver both clinical and economic benefits that are material at patient, hospital and system level. Deltex Medical’s ODM systems…
