Selling wine online has been fraught with problems following the brief lock-down boom. But both AIM’s online wine retailers have recently presented compelling plans to return the businesses to profitable growth. One looks decidedly more credible than the other to us and it’s certainly a tough sector to make decent and reliable profits. Elsewhere, shares in a highly profitable and modestly valued manufacturer of flooring come with an attractive dividend yield, but it’s a provider of maritime domain awareness products which steals the show this week. Naked Wines: it all sounds good, but….
Naked Wines (AIM:WINE) recent Strategy Event has certainly helped propel the shares higher, so what have they been saying.
CEO Rodrigo Maza, who was appointed a year ago, commented on a “powerful plan” that will look to commence distributions to shareholders, unlock capital from surplus inventory, double down on serving the most valuable members and transform how they attract and retain new customers.
