Young & Co Brewery (AIM: YNGA) Prepared to maximise sales potential during the Rugby World Cup

Young & Co Brewery is one of Britain’s oldest brewery brands, founded in 1831 at the Ram Brewery in Wandsworth, which remains the Group’s headquarters. Today their wide range of beers are brewed by Charles Wells. The Group now operate under three distinct formats; Young’s and Geronimo, which compromise the 166 pubs in the managed house division, and the Ram Pub Company, the tenanted division.

The Group’s financial results for the 52 weeks ended 30th March 2015, released today, indicate that it has been another excellent year for the Group.

Financially, Young’s has had a successful year with profit before tax up 35.7% to £36.1m (£32m once adjusted for exception items). The profit increase was driven by a combination of strong revenue growth (7.7% increase on the previous financial year), and an improved operating performance. Additionally the excellent summer…
