Why I love Wetherspoons as an investment and an eatery
After an excellent dining experience at a local Wetherspoons, I read the recent financial results with interest. The company is clearly battling the traditional thorn of the hospitality industry – staff wages – but its attitude to spending is far healthier than many of its peers. I like what I see.
I recently enjoyed a fantastic meal out at Wetherspoons (LON: JDW).
I’ll paint the full picture. It’s a Thursday evening and Rickmansworth High Street is almost empty, but the local Prezzo is apparently full (there are plenty of free tables but clearly not enough staff to serve them).
