Solid State (SOLI) – terrific numbers result in further upgrade

The AIM listed supplier of specialist industrial/ruggedised computers, electronic components, secure communications systems and battery power solutions to the electronics market issued terrific interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2014, even exceeding the heightened expectations following it’s very positive trading update at end October.

Revenue was up 39% to £17.1m with PBT up 175% and even higher when adjusting for share based payments. Gross margin rose to 32.1% from 30.1% and operating margin to 9.2% from 4.9%, with suggestions for more to come here.
There was also a material uplift in the dividend to 4p from 2.75p with news of an updated dividend policy in the light of strong cash generation and an intention to target a dividend…
