London Value Investor Conference - great event with some cracking stock picks

L​eading lights of the investment management world gathered at the QEII Conference Centre in London last week for the London Value Investor Conference. For both institutional and private investors wanting to learn a thing or two from truly excellent investment managers, many of whom have delivered outstanding returns over a long period, this is a really good event. This year’s Conference included the highly regarded Howard Marks and Jean-Marie Eveillard, both of whom have successfully navigated numerous market crashes, and the colourful (at least in terms of shirt selection) James Montier. There was a terrific turnout for the event with about 500, mostly institutional, investors eager to hear what the doyens of the value investment community had to say.
