Eagle Eye (AIM:EYE) contract with Sainsbury but hard to fully understand this business

​The provider of digital consumer engagement solutions to the retail and hospitality industries has announced a pre-close trading and new contract with Sainsbury’s Stores Ltd for the deployment of its Eagle Eye AIR platform. It all sounds very positive and the full year revenue numbers are materially higher, however, it’s tough to for us to fully understand the attractions of this business model

Eagle Eye provides a digital transaction platform, Eagle Eye AIR, for the secure, real-time, multi-channel issuance, management and redemption of digital offers, vouchers and rewards, replacing previously used paper-based methods. Through the digital engagement module customers can send a plethora of marketing communications like SMS and email using the interactive smart messaging service.
