Draper Esprit (AIM:GROW) - is this the future of early stage investing on AIM?
The leading venture capital firm involved in the creation, funding and development of high-growth digital technology businesses announced encouraging maiden interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2016. We view this type of offering as the future of early stage investing on AIM, but it’s tricky to be entirely comfortable with the valuation….at least for those like us who are used to assessing more mature operating businesses!

With plenty of crowd funding platforms now out there to support early stage businesses, we think the Draper Esprit model represents the future of early stage investing on AIM, offering investors exposure to a diverse portfolio of early stage businesses that have been well-researched by an experienced team. We appreciate that investing via a collective like this means the tax benefits (EIS, and IHT) are lost, but private investors are far less likely to lose…
