SIMEC Atlantis Energy: sale of hydro business SIMEC Atlantis Energy (AIM:SAE), has agreed the sale of its subsidiary Green Highlands Renewables (GHR) for £3m. Having acquired GHR from its main shareholder SIMEC Energy for a nominal £1 in October 2019, it looks a reasonable deal based on that measure, although GHR did contribute £796,000 of profit in 2020 so the acquirer should also be happy. GHR has developed and commissioned over 50 hydro schemes across Scotland.
