Acquisition creates largest portfolio of tidal energy projects in the UK

The global leader in the tidal power sector and majority owner of the world’s largest tidal stream energy project, the MeyGen tidal stream project in Scotland, has announced an agreement to acquire Bristol based Marine Current Turbines Limited from industrial giant Siemens AG in an all share deal. The acquisition of this world class British tidal turbine business consolidates two leading tidal technologies under the Atlantis umbrella, creates the largest portfolio of tidal current power projects in the United Kingdom and further establishes Atlantis as a global leader in tidal current power.
