What to do in times like these? Part one:
The world is in crisis, nothing new there, but this time the crisis seems especially immediate and scary. What should we do? What should investors do? We offer our thoughts here.
I have found myself having uncomfortable thoughts. A couple of weeks ago I parked the car in an underground car park. "Underground, "I thought. "Would this be safe?" I figured that we would need lots of tinned food, batteries, torches, firewood (lots of that), and medicine. It's the bunker mentality — I mean, the mentality that says, "where's the nearest bunker?" Don't get me wrong. I know it is irrelevant. I live on the south coast of England, nowhere is safe.
