William Sinclair (AIM:SNCL) – More bad news and can it survive?
Established in 1850, William Sinclair will be well-known to keen gardeners throughout the land through its J. Arthur Bowers compost brand. Unfortunately the business has been struggling over the past few years and today’s news doesn’t look good either, pushing the shares down another 25% to new lows of 36p. So is there a good recovery story here?
The Group has announced the departure of the Chief Executive of the past 2 years and the appointment of Stuart Burgin, 52, as Chief Executive, with immediate effect initially on an interim basis. Mr Burgin has had a career predominantly in the food industry and has been the Managing Director of a number of businesses, and a constant theme in his career has been his strong leadership skills.
