Westminster’s boat is coming in
There was positive news from AIM-listed Westminster Group (WSG) this morning regarding its passenger ferry contract. The Group announced that the 200 seat high performance passenger ferry, named 'Sierra Queen', is due to arrive in Sierra Leone from Norway at the end of April 2015.
Ferry Progress The Group reported that its in-country staff have made significant progress developing the terminals and infrastructure required for the ferry launch and commencement of operations. The ferry will provide a transit service between Freetown International Airport and the capital, Freetown. The grand launch with Ministers, Dignitaries and local business leaders is being planned for shortly after the vessel’s arrival and further details on this and other activities will be announced in due course. When Westminster announced details of the ferry contract in November 2014 it was headlined as a “21 Year Concession Agreement with US$300m Revenue Potential”. See…
