Team17 moves into educational entertainment
The AIM quoted publisher of premium video games has moved into a different space with the acquisition of a publisher of educational entertainment apps for children. It looks a highly positive move for the cash rich Group, as our free update here reveals.
Team17 (LON:TM17),the developer of independent premium video games and publisher of the iconic Worms, Overcooked! and Escapists franchises, is acquiring StoryToys, a developer and publisher of educational entertainment ("edutainment") apps for children. The acquisition establishes a new highly complementary and fast-growing edutainment vertical for the AIM quoted group, which we have covered since IPO in May 2018.
