Seeing Machines (ASIM:SEE) – Now big opportunities open up in the in rail market
Seeing Machines has announced an exclusive three-year strategic agreement with Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD), a subsidiary of Progress Rail, a Caterpillar Company, to offer in-cab operator fatigue and distraction monitoring systems for use in locomotives, to assist in avoiding rail accidents.
A fully functional system will be demonstrated in an EMD locomotive cab mock-up at the InnoTrans exhibition in Berlin this week. This is another terrific announcement for the AIM listed technology company that specialises in operator monitoring and intervention technologies and services. The small company now counts Caterpillar, Takata, Eye Tracking Inc and Samsung Electro-Mechanics (SEMCo) as its partners and BHP Billiton, Freeport McMoran, Teck, Toll Holdings amongst its customers.
