Petards (AIM:PEG) - starting to deliver, although the strange share structure needs explaining!
The AIM quoted developer of advanced security and surveillance systems has delivered decent interim results for the six months to 30 June 2015. Despite lower revenue, the higher margins, improved cash generation and decent order book suggests the future looks brighter. It’s the share structure that puzzles us!
The Group serves three sectors: · Transport (Rail - software driven video systems mounted in-train and externally and automatic passenger counting (APC) systems sold under eyeTrain brand) · Emergency Services (Mobile speed enforcement and ANPR systems predominantly to Law Enforcement Agencies sold under the ProVida brand) · Defence (Electronic defensive countermeasures and mobile radio systems predominantly to the UK Ministry of Defence (“MOD”)) Unlike some of their AIM peers, the interim results offered plenty of detail. Revenues at £6.1m were down on the corresponding period last year which included £3m of lower margin equipment deliveries for the MOD’s SMRE project…
