Grafenia plc (AIM: GRA) – ever optimistic despite a tough ride
Grafenia, the graphic arts company, has today released its preliminary results for the year ended 31st March 2015. Profit before tax increased to £0.86m, in line with the profit warning announced in February that profits would be slightly below market expectations of £0.9m-£1m.
Grafenia began life in the early nineties as a printing business selling promotional flyers for nightclubs in Sheffield. The original business, Flyer Express, listed on the OFEX market in 2000 and soon after acquired the domain name Printing.com. The Group grew quickly causing management to launch their franchise model in 2002. This helped the continued expansion of the printing business which listed on AIM in 2004 as a specialist retail chain with 82, predominantly franchised outlets.
