Jarvis: stock market volatility offers a boostIn an open letter to shareholders, stockbroker Jarvis Securities (LON:JIM), has reassured that it is business as usual, despite the majority of staff working from home. The group has benefited from a marked increase in trade volumes following the election result in December and due to the recent heightened market volatility. Somewhat surprisingly, it also believes that the reduction in base rates should have a negligible effect on interest income, which was a material (40%) contributor to group revenue in 2019.
