Another broker comes out with its preferred buys for 2016
AIM listed corporate broker Panmure Gordon has issued its own “Conviction List” of preferred stocks for 2016. Having returned 23.3% in 2015, being a 14th period out of 16 where its Conviction List outperformed the market benchmark, it’s probably worth a glance!
Panmure points out that a reinvested Conviction List would have returned 175% since its inception in 2010. Top long performers last year were Ryanair, Avacta Group, Bovis Homes, Informa and Micro Focus, while the best short ideas were Petra Diamonds, Fenner, Rolls-Royce, Majestic Wine and Vesuvius. The updated Conviction list has four new long entrants, and seven exits. The new long entrants include AIM quoted Character Group (AIM:CCT) which we issued a commentary on in February 2015, when the share price was 375p (currently 496p). You can read the report here.
