Animalcare - transformational deal but fully priced, or is this the start of something big?
Since our in-depth analysis of Animalcare last January, the company has announced great results and a transformational deal. Our latest Blog mulls over the terms of the deal which sees a very different business emerge.
The supplier of generic veterinary medicines and animal identification products published an excellent set of interim results in February 2017, updating on the period ending December 2016. Revenue was up 12% for the period to £8m, as guided. Licensed Vet Medicines, the largest and most important division, saw sales up 17% to £5.4m, within which exports were up 38% from a low base. Animal Welfare Products sales also grew at 13% while the Companion Animal Identification sales were down 9%, as expected.
