A brave new arrival on AIM
The management team of this new arrival on AIM has had considerable success before, but that was then and the now is a very different proposition entirely. Nevertheless, there are elements to this business model which look interesting and it’s great to welcome a newcomer to AIM.
Various Eateries (LON:VARE), which owns, develops and operates restaurant sites in the UK, has been admitted to AIM with a market capitalisation of £65m. Given the current state of the market, it is certainly brave timing and a miracle they secured the £25m of funding! The core brands of the Group are Coppa Club and Tavolino which are currently operated across ten locations. The original operating company of the newly listed group was established by Hugh Osmond (formerly of PizzaExpress and Punch Group) in 2014 and he remains a 48% shareholder of Various Eateries and a non-executive director.
